Reception and Year 2 classes had an exciting visit from the fire brigade on Friday afternoon. The children were reminded that fire is dangerous and can hurt people. The firefighters spoke about smoke alarms and how they keep homes safe from fire, what to do in an emergency, and how to call 999. The children even got to step inside the fire trucks, whilst staff tried on the uniforms! For Year 2, this was an excellent link to their current history topic – The Great Fire of London.
