In Reception this week we have been learning about celebrations of light. We started the week learning about Diwali and the wonderful way in which it is celebrated. We made our own salt dough and created a Diva Lamp each which we have moulded, painted and added a tea light to. Outside we created our own Rangoli patterns using lots of colour. We then linked the fireworks set off for Diwali to the 5th of November celebrations. Reception know to stay back away from the fireworks, let a grown up light them and to always wear gloves with sparklers!
