We were delighted to welcome Bridget Philipson, Shadow Education Secretary, into school this afternoon, along with our CEO Mark Pike and Winning With Numbers founders, Bethan and Ben Harding. The visit provided the opportunity for primary children to demonstrate their amazing work in Maths, and for staff and students alike to discuss issues that are facing our local community and school in the current day.
Children in Year 1, 3, 5 and 6 were able to articulate their learning journey in Maths and showed great enthusiasm in grappling with mathematical challenges. We encourage parents to support this work at home, recognising that Winning With Numbers builds confidence in children, and this is most rapid when they practise at home as well as in school. Well done to all those who were involved in this prestigious visit; they were fabulous ambassadors for our school.
