From the start of this academic year, our Year 11 students have had the opportunity to begin the process of thinking about the next steps on their educational journey. They have had the privilege of listening to engaging presentations delivered by some of our local sixth form providers who have inspired them with the range of pathways and courses available to them. These have ranged from the traditional A ‘Level, through to T ’Levels, BTECs and apprenticeships.
Over the next few weeks each student will be meeting with their appointed mentor in school to discuss their plans for Post 16 and we would encourage you to discuss this further with your child at home. We are privileged to live in an area with some outstanding sixth form provision, Colleges, and apprenticeship opportunities. If you have not already done so, please do take the opportunity to attend the open days that each setting will be putting on for potential students over the course of the next few months. This will allow your child to get a real flavour of the opportunities on offer and make the best possible decision for their Post 16 journey.
