In order to support your child’s access to education, please get in touch if we can help address any barriers such as buying uniform, equipment or supporting you with financial pressures or other circumstances. There are plenty of avenues of support available, which you can see on our website, using the link below. You can contact the pastoral team at any time, and if school can’t help directly, you will be signposted to organisations that can.
UNIFORM AT CHRIST'S COLLEGE
At Christ’s College, the uniform is more than just a dress code; it represents our school’s values, identity, and commitment to excellence. Each day, our students embody the College ethos through their smart appearance, which is a non-negotiable aspect of life here. We take pride in the way our students present themselves, as they are a visible reflection of the high standards that define Christ’s College.
Our staff works diligently to support students in upholding these expectations, ensuring that their uniform and personal appearance consistently meet the highest standards. However, this effort is a collective one. We greatly appreciate the ongoing support from parents in ensuring that students are well-prepared and equipped with the correct uniform items. With this unified effort, we can ensure that the focus remains where it belongs: on learning and personal growth, without distractions.
We also recognize that in the current financial climate, some families may be facing challenges. We encourage anyone experiencing difficulties to reach out to our pastoral team, who are available to provide assistance. Together, we can maintain the tradition of excellence that Christ’s College is known for, ensuring all students can stand as proud ambassadors of our school.
When students come to school with the right equipment, lesson time can focus on the important business of learning, rather than sorting out missing pens, pencils and rulers. To support students in being ready to learn, we now have a stationary shop in the secondary Pastoral Hub, where students can purchase equipment packs.

PUPIL PREMIUM ELIGIBILITY
Pupil Premium is more than just free school meals. The Pupil Premium entitles your child to free school meals (worth over £400 a year) and in addition provides the College with crucial funding (up to an additional £1320 per eligible student).
It is essential that, if your child is eligible* for the Pupil Premium, you apply for free school meals (even if they are an infant who already receives free school meals or if you have no intention of taking up free school meals). This ensures that both your child and other students in the Academy are able to benefit from the additional funding the Pupil Premium generates.
